Exact age in years, months and days between two dates.
Count whole years from the birth date to today, then whole months, then the remaining days. Someone born on 15 March 1990 is 36 years, 5 months and 5 days old on 20 August 2026. A year only counts once the birthday has passed.
In ordinary years on 28 February or 1 March; legally in Latvia adulthood begins on 1 March, since the day only completes after that. Age calculations usually assume 28 February, and the difference is one day every four years.
Count from today to the next occurrence of the birth date, or to next year's if this year's has passed. If 29 February falls in between, the count gains a day, which is why the calculator uses the real calendar rather than assuming 365 days.
